Smoking Cessation Program for Teens

SmokefreeTXT is a new program started by the National Cancer Institute to offer encouragement and advice to teens trying to quit smoking.  Anyone can access the program by texting the word QUIT to 47848 from their phones.  One can also sign up by going online to www.teen.smokefree.gov/smokefreeTXT.aspx where they can answer a few questions and enroll.

Additionally there is a contest for cash prizes that involves creating an original two minute video on key health messages.  For more information visit:  www.cdc.gov/tobacco.
